Liberty House, Part 2 and, Coping With Soaps

Tom's Restaurant, on 112th Street and Broadway in New York City, first gained noteriety when Suzanne Vega sang Tom's Diner on her succesful sophomore album. It became more famous as the exterior shot of the diner Jerry Seinfeld and his friends hung out at for all those years on television. If you walk south, directly across the street is the second Liberty House location!
This is a smaller, more "lived in" (meaning, a little shabby-looking) store. I saw pretty much the same types of merchandise mentioned in the post below, along with children's clothing and a large selection of Burt's Bees products. I had just had a music lesson, so my brain was really too tired to process much more of what I was seeing. I left the store and soon found myself strolling through a street fair, along Broadway.
After a few minutes of looking at jewelry, socks, and various other items, I stopped at a booth selling natural soaps. Copa Soaps of Philadelphia are all natural, biodegradable, and vegetable oil based. I was given a nice 1/4 inch thick, 3x5 inch sample of their honey oatmeal soap and I purchased a bar of their ginger carrot soap ($4.00). I stayed there for a long time, smelling all the different varieties and wishing I could buy one of each. The young lady behind the booth advised me to check their website for more events like this street fair appearance. I definitely will.
Buzzing off for now...
