A New Alternative

Today finds me still unemployed but still hopeful for new beginnings. I have my eyes open to new opportunities, new challenges, and new alternatives. New alternatives seem to be presenting themselves to me in all areas of my life, not just professionally. A good example can be found in the beauty industry.

I was raised to believe that Avon products were cheap beauty items not meant to be taken seriously. I never paid much attention to the brand, and would often scoff at any suggestion to give any of the products a try. Now I am being forced to change the way I view Avon. Thanks to Avon Sales and Business Development Manager Genevieve Fotios, whom I met at a Divabetics meeting, I now see this company as Anew Alternative for beauty and skincare (if you will).

After the meeting Genevieve gave me a nice goodie bag of samples, including packets of their new eye cream, Anew Alternative. With my daily Ovo Eyes experiences, a new eye cream sounded like a fun thing to try.

The accompanying literature promised that, in 7 days, dark circles would start to disappear. I have used it for 7 days and, while I haven't noticed that, I didn't experience anything horrific either. The cream is gentle and leaves the eye area feeling soft and smooth. No Ovo Eyes with this treatment!

So as I continue to reinvent myself, both personally and professionally, it looks as if Avon will be a part of it, at least the part around my eyes.
