Seven Clicks for '07

As 2007 unfolds, I thought it would be fun to list the seven websites I think will really be popular over the next 12 months:

The Accessory Forum: This is the latest web creation from Jennifer of ebelle 5 and The Bag Forum. Love accesories? Stop by, register, and join the discussion!

Coutorture: Julie Fredrickson and her partner, Phil Lief, are continuing to offer diverse content from nearly 200 fashion websites and blogs. No matter what your age or fashion interest, you'll find what you're looking for on Coutorture.

Daily Fashion Report: This is the free (almost) daily online fashion report offered by Lookonline. I emphasize free because they also offer a premium membership, which I have not purchased. For someone not in the industry, the Daily Fashion Report is just fine. I love the consise, objective reporting it presents.

PerfumeCritic.Com: I am really excited about this one. Next month, Marlen Harrision will turn his original single-author blog about fragrance into a new online magazine. He has gathered a group of international writers who will be reporting on fragrance from their own local perspectives. I am pleased to announce that I am part of this new group of writers! My first article will be about scented candles. I will provide a link to it when it is posted.

Pink Panel: Have you ever wanted to give the beauty industry a piece of your mind? Of course you have. You can do it through Pink Panel. Sign up at this site and you'll have the opportunity to participate in opinion polls, the results of which are sent to decision-makers in the beauty industry. The site also has a scholarship program.

ThisNext: I can't wait to see what the "shopcast" people have up their sleeves this year. I know that there are similar sites out there (Style Hive and Popgloss are two that come to mind), but for me, ThisNext is the most user-friendly. Visit today and set up your shopcast!

Twitter: Be careful with this one. It can become addicting! Twitter is a way for you to instantly let your friends (who you acquire in a manner similar to that of MySpace) know what you are doing. You can be as forthcoming as you want to be. "Updates," as they're called, can be sent via the website or your cell phone. If you have a blog, website, or a MySpace page, you can also copy and paste a badge, which broadcasts all your updates. In this age of reality shows and tell-all things, Twitter fits right in. When I first heard of it I thought it was insane. Why would anyone want to broadcast every little thing they're doing? But, as you can see from looking at the sidebar on this page, I've joined the insanity and I'm loving it! (I don't want to think about what that says about me.)

So, there you have it. Seven clicks for '07. Are there any I missed, or should have left out? Your comments are certainly welcome!

Buzzing off for now...
