NY Fashion Week, Fall 07: Chado Ralph Rucci

Fashion Week ended yesterday with several big shows, not the least of which was Ralph Rucci's. After looking at the photos from his show, it's easy to understand why he's lasted in the business for 25 years, and why FIT recently gave him a retrospective.

Like Carolina Herrera, Rucci's new collection features jackets with fur cuffs. This outfit was my favorite:

To me, fur-cuffed jackets are like 21st-Century muffs. I want to put one on and slip each of my hands into the opposite sleeve. Then I can walk around like a Victorian princess, until I need to start a car engine or something.
