Let Mom Get Her Bling On
Mother's Day is May 13, exactly one month away. What should you give your mom this year, or, if you're a mom, what do you want? Jewelry is always a good choice. Amazon.com's PR people sent me an email this week about new jewelry up on the site. I like the earrings they've got:
Earrings are only half the story. They've got bracelets, pendants, watches and pins as well. I shouldn't be, but I'm surprised. It's still a challenge for me not to think of them as nothing more than a bookseller, even after I've purchased things like cosmetics cases and metronomes from them!

I don't turn to Amazon too often for my fashion or cosmetics needs but I have scored some excellent finds there. For instance, I got a beautiful Calvin Klein wool coat this winter for about $156. It was originally $600. I've also seen good deals on shoes and clothing. My objections to clothing shopping on Amazon is the often sub-standard images available to view the product offerings.
