Pomegranates For Your Skin

We've all heard about the benefits of consuming pomegranates, but have you ever heard of using them on your skin? Italian company Santa Maria Novella has a Pomegranate Soap made of all-natural whole milk and infused with Florentine pomegranate oil.

I discovered this soap at Lafco's Soho store several weeks ago. When I held it to my nose I smelled a very feminine, powdery scent. Not the type of scent I'm usually attracted to. But I fell in love with it, probably because it reminds me so much of Chanel No. 5, one of the few very feminine powdery scents I own. The pomegranate oil is obviously for softening the skin, not for the olfactory system.

Triple-milled and made by hand using 19-Century equipment, S M Novella's Pomegranate Soap does soften my skin when I use it and my skin doesn't have that tight, sticky feeling that can come from using other soaps. It's available in two sizes. The toilette size, pictured above, is $14.00 and the bath size is $20.00. Also, if you want the experience to last all day, try the fragrance. I visited Lafco this past weekend and sprayed some from the tester bottle on myself. It went on feminine powdery and dried down to a fresh, clean scent. As soon as I can afford to plunk down $84.00 for it, it's mine.

Buzzing off for now...

Hi, Glamour Bee! I stumbled in on your website through Perfumecritic.com. It's great that you've 'fallen' for Melograno, the moment I first sniffed it I knew it was something special I had to have. The soap sounds awesome too, I need to try that one day. Thanks for the review :-)
