High-Waisted Denim Is Back?
I was checking out the latest fashion pages from Life & Style Weekly over the weekend and what did I see? Starlets wearing high-waisted denim. For those of us who carry our weight on our waistlines this is not good news!
Just a few years ago high-waisted pants were called "momm
y pants." No stylish young woman would be caught dead in anything like them. Now we see high-profile woman like Jessica Simpson, Mischa Barton and Lindsay Lohan (right) wearing high-waisted denim.
If this is a reaction to all that extra skin ladies show I can certainly understand it. I can't tell you how many times I've been embarrassed about too much tush showing, and it wasn't even my tush! While I do wear low-waisted pants, I always make sure they sit just below the waist, not just over the, well, you know. So Jessica, Mischa and Lindsay can keep their high-waisted denim. I'm going to keep right on hitting (just below) the waist.
