i Wear...Do You?
Can a piece of hardware be turned into jewelry? Dawn of i Wear...Do You? thinks so. She's been turning things like nuts and washers into beautiful pieces of jewelry for about six years now.
The hardware metals Dawn uses to create the pieces are stainless steel, aluminum, brass and copper. They then become settings for cubic zirconia, Swarovski crystals and gemstones. Sterling silver and ribbons are also used in some of the pieces.
A native of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Dawn attended the Ontario College of Art, where she studied many disciplines, focusing on sculpture and life forms. She then moved on to the Ohio State University to study philosophy and creative writing. While attending OSU she worked as a buyer in a speciality boutique, where she was inspired to create i Wear...Do You?, around 2001.
In addition to jewelry the company also offers apparel and accessories, including cute flip flops, decorated with the trademark hardware. Prices range from $32 to $140 (US Dollars). Right now, Dawn is offering a special promotion: Mention The Glamorous Bee during checkout and receive free shipping on your order! Ordering is through Paypal. Just mention this blog in the comments/note section.
Buzzing off for now...
