Cartier Love & The Fourth of July
The Fourth of July is a little less than two weeks away, and Cartier is jumping into the Independence Day celebration pool with both feet, or maybe I should say, both hands. Based on their LOVE jewelry collection, they are now offering new LOVECharity Bracelets. The bracelets come in three colors: red, white, and blue (of course). They are silk-knotted and each is linked with an 18K white gold bar that says "Love." That's the love part. Here's where the charity comes in: The bracelet can be purchased at 33 Cartier boutiques throughout the US for $475, and $100 of each purchase will go to a charity corresponding to each of the bracelet's colors. Of course, each charity has a celebrity spokesperson. Here's the info:

Eva Mendes for The Art of Elysium (dedicated to enriching the lives of artists and critically ill children)
You can't buy these bracelets online, but you can visit Cartier.com to find the nearest boutique.
Unless these bracelets are on someone's arm, they don't look like much. I thought they were either belts or hair elastics when I first saw the images. For the sake of the three charities involved, I wish Cartier the best of luck in their new project.
Buzzing off for now...
