Amy Loves Liquids

It's been a makeup-free Summer for me. I usually manage to apply some sort of cosmetic to my face in the Summer months, but this season, it's been entirely too difficult. Maybe it's a sign of maturity on my part, some kind of 40-something acceptance of myself. I'm not really sure, but I do know that it's been entirely too hot to bother with.

It's definitely not too hot for British singer Amy Winehouse to deal with. Well maybe it is but, most likely, she has people following her around keeping her fresh-looking all the time. If you know anything about Amy, she loves her liquid eyeliner. Not surprising for someone who's rumored to love other liquids (like sambuca) a little too much. According to an article in the latest Bust Magazine, she prefers Rimmel Liquid Eyliner in Black/Noir, saying she was inspired to wear it by the Fellini films she saw as a child.

Anyone who wears liquid liner is too cool for words as far as I'm concerned. It's definitely not for me. I'm content just playing Amy's song "Rehab" on my iPod while I slowly guide my pencil liner across my lids.
