Californication: Red Hot!

Get ready for some more steamy television, Showtime fans. Californication, the network's new adult sitcom, premieres Monday night (Aug 13th) at 10:30 pm Eastern, right after the season premiere of "Weeds."

Thanks to Time Out New York, who sent me a special invitation, I was lucky enough to attend a pre-screening of both shows here in NYC earlier this week. I have to admit that I don't subscribe to Showtime and this was the first time I'd seen "Weeds." Right now, as I sit here typing, I can happily report that I still don't subscribe to Showtime.

"Californication" stars David Duchovny as boozing novelist Hank Moody, who has writer's block and who can't keep his pants zipped. Moody tries his best to sleep with as many woman as he can without his 13-year old daughter Becca finding out and telling his ex-girlfriend, her mom. *Snore*

Duchovny is the show's executive producer. Both he and Showtime are hoping that "Weeds" viewers stay tuned Monday night for his many rolls in the sack. Will you?
