Wired Does Lashes

Ever since I received a free subscription to Wired magazine, I've been walking around with it as if it were an appendage. I never thought I'd go for a magazine for techies, but perhaps I love it because there's a fair amouint of information in it that pertains to blogs and websites. All of the information is very useful and I've created a folder for stashing all the articles I've torn out of every issue I've received.

My latest tear-out pertains to eye lashes. I kid you not! The magazine has an occaisional blurb called "Japanese Schoolgirl Watch," and the latest "watch," if you will, is about the Tokyo Lash Bar. Trendy Japanese girls visit this lash bar for artistic false eye lash creations like the Velvet Feather ($43) and the Yellow Flash ($20). They can also go for special creations like Lucent Sky and Lucent Sun, which, when hit with light, cast colored patterns on the face.

After reading the article I got the sense that Wired thinks the Tokyo Lash Bar is the only place of its kind in the world. Not true, guys. They're not as common as nail salons, but there are several of them right here in the United States. Just Google "lash bars" and they'll come right up.

Buzzing off for now...
