New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer '08: Tracy Reece

Is Tracy Reece growing tired of femininity? Her Spring 2008 collection gives me that impression:




This collection by no means makes me think of menswear, but it's a slight departure from Reece's usually classically feminine designs. This comes on the heels of her personal makeover. Reece has gone from a rather dowdy, overweight woman, to a slim, feminine-looking lady, while her designs, though not dowdy, have begun to tip-toe away from frilly femininity. No coincidences here, in my opinion.
