SpoonFed Art: Around The Kitchen To Around Your Neck
For Karin Collins, designer and founder of SpoonFed Art, a spoon is more than just something you eat your soup with. For her, it is a bite-sized canvas, the beginning of a beautiful piece of jewelry. Karin Collins makes pendants out of spoons.
Karin began making the pendants as a means of therapy for an eating disorder and, in 2004, upon a friend's suggestion, decided to turn her hobby into a business. Today, the Los-Angeles-based designer's pendants are available in three City of Angels locations as well as on her website. Shop at the site now and you can receive free shipp
ing and handling (US orders only) until September 30th.
They're beautiful pendants. The story behind them, however, is even more beautiful: taking what life gives you and making the best of it. SpoonFed Art supports NEDA, the National Eating Disorders Association. To find out more about eating disorders visit NEDA's website.
Buzzing off for now...
