Hello Holidays!
It's a beautiful 54 degrees here in New York City, the perfect day for a stroll though Central Park. The Holidays are something in the distant future, right?
Wrong. Christmas and Kwanzaa are two months away and Hanukkah is only one month away! So it's time to start thinking about shopping for gifts and other holiday activities. For a lot of us, sending out holiday cards is no longer part of the holiday fun. Earlier this week when I attended a press preview, I found out
about a company that is doing a great job trying to change that.
Hello! Lucky makes beautiful, vintage-inspired, greeting cards. They are made from thick (110 lb), 30% post-consumer waste recycled paper. The company's owners, sisters Sabrina and Eunice Moyle, told me what makes their cards stand out fr
om others: an antique letterpress. If you're familiar with antique letterpresses, you know all about the tactile detail they add to the paper they print on. Until recently, these presses were a thing of the past, but creative entrepreneurs like the Moyle sisters are bringing back their popularity. Among the cards' fans: actress Julia Roberts.
All holiday cards come as single cards ($4.50 each) or boxed sets of 6 ($14.00). You can purchase them at the Hello! Lucky website and at independent stationers and retailers Throughout the US.
Happy Holidays...
