The Smoke Has Cleared

Several months ago when Coutorture, the blogger community I'm a proud member of, became part of the Sugar network, we were all given a gift to celebrate, courtesy of Sephora: Their very own Smokey Eye Kit. As you may or may not know, I'm eye makeup-challenged. For more than a month the kit sat on my bedroom dresser while I stared at it, wondering if I should send it back to Coutorture.

Well, a few weeks ago I finally summoned up enough courage to give the kit a try. The verdict: easy as pie. I can now stand up and say, "I can do smokey eye." The smoke has cleared.

The kit that made me stand up and "cheer" includes a little card with step-by-step instructions, showing a woman exactly what to do to achieve that smokey eye look. Also included in the kit: an all over shadow brush, shader brush, dome smudge brush, liner brush, lash comb and Sephora's Volume Mascara. Retail price, $42. I'd say that's a pretty good deal, don't you think?
