Maintain Your Wellbeing with Women's Health Magazine

Internal health is essential to beauty. Eating a balanced diet can be tough for people on the go, but fortunately, it doesn't have to be that way. Recently, I had the opportunity to attend Food Flip!, an event hosted by Women's Health Magazine. While eating a healthy lunch of organic greens with feta cheese, grilled talapia, sauteed broccoli and kale with brown rice and more, I listened to weight loss expert Keri Glassman give simple tips to eating better with limited time on our hands.

Substituting Greek yogurt for mayonnaise, using chicken stock for mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables for flavor without the high calorie intake, and using white horseradish as dip were some of the things she shared. Here are some of her other guidelines:

-Have things around the house that you can easily make in four steps (pre-packaged chicken breast cutlets, chicken stock, frozen veggies, instant brown rice, and so on)
-Control portion size no matter what you eat
-Eat portions that are nutrient dense
-Eat consistently during the day

Eating healthy doesn't have to be time consuming, just make sure you have enough food in the house to keep from eating fast food all of the time. Check out the website for more ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and also to register to participate in their daily contests.
