The Innaugural Dress: Congratulations Isabel Toledo

Michelle Obama took her place in history today wearing an Isabel Toledo yellow shift and matching overcoat. She accessorized with a diamond brooch and diamond studs, green pumps and green gloves.

I love the neutral color and overall classic look of this outfit. The green shoes and gloves did better than match; they mixed well with the yellow suit.

This is definitely a vast improvement over what we saw on election night. Congratulations, Isabel Toledo and good choice, Michelle Obama.

Bee fashionable!

I do agree that this is a MUCH better choice than the other one. Although, I don't think her now infamous "wardrobe disaster/fiasco" was such a big diaster.

She looks stunning in this Isabel Toledo dress.

WOW really? I did not like her in that dress one single bit. I didn't watch it today, but I have seen all the pictures and man I'm glad to didn't watch it! I don't think she pulled it off at all.

Both Toledo and Wu were on the "Today" show the next morning and they each confirmed that they had no idea their outfits were going to be worn on Inauguration Day.

Wu is a very talented young designer and Toledo, after so many years of working virtually unnoticed, is finally getting much-deserved recognition.
