Kate Winslet Downplays Things & Comes Up A Winner

Kate Winslet has been nominated for an Oscar six times. She usually shows up on The Red Carpet in something more eye-catching than what she wore last night and, at the end of the night, she always walks away empty-handed. Last night she was more subdued, in a YSL one-shoulder dress. She walked away with the award for Best Actress.

Kate's makeup artist, Jillian Dempsey created a classic, natural look, using products from Lancome. I, for one, prefer a natural look over something heavier, so I applaud Jillian for her choices.

Of course, I also applaud Kate Winlet for finally taking home a statue. Congratulations to her and to all the winners.
